Privacy Policy

We collect as little as we can. You don't need an account, and we don't ask for your name to read the free chapters.
What we collect
- Anonymous ID. This is a random identifier stored in your browser's local storage. We use it to remember what you've unlocked and to count unique visits.
- Usage events. These are pages viewed, chapters started, audio plays, quiz answers (right or wrong), paywall views, checkout starts and purchases. Each is stored with the date and the page.
- Ad source. If you arrive from an ad, we record the campaign tags in the link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign and utm_content).
- Payments. These are handled entirely by Stripe, which collects your payment details and email for the receipt. We receive confirmation of the purchase and the item bought. Stripe's privacy policy applies to the data it processes.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent personal data.
- We don't use third-party analytics or tracking pixels on this site.
Where it's stored
Our site is hosted on Vercel, and usage events are stored in an Upstash Redis database in the United States. Raw event logs are deleted after 90 days. Aggregated daily counts are kept for up to 180 days.
Your choices
You can clear your browser storage at any time, which resets your anonymous ID. To ask for access to or deletion of data linked to your ID or your Stripe receipt, email jarl.b.jensen@gmail.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
Children
This site isn't directed to children under 13.
